Fetching coin data
Six non-conjoining sherds which provide the full profile of a small jar with a sharp carination below a narrow everted rim. The light grey fabric was tempered with fine quartz sand and the exterior was given a wet hands slurry finish before being burnished to produce a glossy surface. It is characteristic of grey wares manufactured in the Oxford Region potteries in the second century AD and the form has been found at Rose Hill, Oxfordshire.
